THE SUNDAY STITCHING SCHOOL - SUNDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER 2019 (AFTERNOON)
The Sunday Stitching School takes place each month and is a creative journey curated just for you. A perfect way to ensure you find those gentle making moments, an indulgent afternoon of escaping with the simple tools of a needle and thread. It is an opportunity for you to discover and re-discover skills using textiles, thread and paper to engage with your creative side on a Sunday afternoon.
This workshop uses contemporary and traditional embroidery and stitch to explore the sensitive details of natural forms. A perfect workshop for those with a passion for textiles and thread. You will be presented with a considered selection of materials that wil engage you to explore the use of line, the scorching of linen and the addition of antique threads and handmade lace to illustrate ideas and evoke mood. The creation of the study may take you the afternoon to complete, or you may wish to continue the stitching at home over a few days or even a few weeks. There is no race to the finish line, no deadline, no competition to win, it is a simple indulgent, escaping and thoughtful series of stitching hours.
THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR YOU...
For those who want to gently engage and be introduced to the joys of stitching for the very first time or bring back to the surface skills from years past.
